Finite Element Analysis
Finite Element Analysis is the process of breaking a structure or component into small mesh elements. Calculations are performed on each element to predict how the system will respond to loads and constraints. This method anticipates its response to real-world loadings and highlights potential failure points. Insights are gained on a structure’s ability to withstand failure from overload, fatigue, vibration, buckling and impact.

These insights can be used to:
-
Optimise a structure to reduce material and manufacture costs
-
Redesign and reanalyse a structure to improve performance
-
Certify a design to relevant Australian or International standards

This analysis is performed during all phases of the CAD design process—eliminating redesign costs to provide a more economic and efficient design delivery.
